Base Chili Recipe

I made this a few weeks ago. I didn’t care it was 100F, I wanted chili! : ) I don’t have a profound story on how this recipe came about so I’m just going to give it to you straight ; ) So this is what I came up with. I can’t eat spicy at all so this recipe is not spicy. If you want heat, add more cayenne and chili. This is a great starter chili recipe and you can add things to it and make it your own! Marble Magnets

I wanted to make some swag for geocaching and I have seen pretty marbles. I am still deciding if magnets are the way to go. I did have to make more because I kept the first set I made 😉 I got a bag of clear big and small marbles. The big marbles are about 1″ or so in diameter. The small ones are 3/4″. Our ducks

On February 20th, we got these little cuties. We only wanted to keep 2 at first and decided that if any of them were boys, they would become dinner. Our chickens were a little hesitant even after being old enough to be...

If I had it my way, sauces would be on everything, meat, veggies, noodles, rice, fries… So here is my version of a schnitzel dish. You can make it with veal if you want to. I bet it would work with chicken too, even though that isn’t traditional but who cares right? If you are like me, you need another way to cook chicken! It’s basically a breaded pork...

Vegetable Garden

We planted a small vegetable garden. We have yellow squash, cucumber, tomatoes, onions, garlic, peas, peppers, and beans. Our potatoes sadly didn’t make it but we will try again! Last year, we just planted cucumbers and tomatoes. The squash is doing great but a small part of the plant has died for some reason. This is our red onion. We planted it in a planter with the garlic to the left of it. It is doing great and I love that there are practically no weeds in it. Now, I need to figure out how to store them in...
