We planted a small vegetable garden. We have yellow squash, cucumber, tomatoes, onions, garlic, peas, peppers, and beans. Our potatoes sadly didn’t make it but we will try again!

Last year, we just planted cucumbers and tomatoes. The squash is doing great but a small part of the plant has died for some reason.

This is our red onion. We planted it in a planter with the garlic to the left of it. It is doing great and I love that there are practically no weeds in it. Now, I need to figure out how to store them in Oklahoma where we don’t have a basement or a root cellar….

Because of space in the backyard, we decided to also put the tomatoes in a planter. Romas to the left and big boy to the right. The romas are exploding right now and I can’t wait to taste them!

We let our backyard grow out a bit to give the mock strawberries and deadnettles to the chickens and ducks. This daisy fleabane came up and I love it! I saved it from the weed whacker 🙂

Small tour of my gardening spot. We have lots of plans to make the most of our little space in the city. Learning as we go for most of it. I am not a pro, just learning as go and grow.

We have been using the duck water to water all our plants and on the compost pile. Stay tuned for a post on those 🙂

I would love to see your garden or critters, please share your blogs in the comments.
