I will make pages for anybody as long as the content does not go against my beliefs. This includes but is not limited to satanism, paganism, witchcraft, pornographic material, hate, racism, discriminating, sexist material...
I reserve the right to refuse service.

Can you put music on my page?
I will put music on your page if you wish but it will be the kind you have to push play on the page to hear it or in a menu type. Music is annoying to most websurfers who are usually listening to their own cds on the computer.

Can you scan pictures for me?
No, however, you can go to stores like Kinkos and have them put it on a disk and email it to me. You need to let me know ahead of time that you are sending it to me because I delete all emails with attachments unless I know it's coming.

Can you write an introduction for my webpage?
You provide all the text! It's your page, people will want to read what you have to say! :)
When you send me your text, I prefer it on Notepad.

Will you add my site to the search engines? If it's a personal/ministry site, yes I can add them to the major search engines such as Yahoo, Google and Excite. I will put meta tags if you want me to. This site has never been added to search engines nor does it have meta tags. According to Google, the more people link you, the better the chance of the search engine's spiders finding you. Basically the search engines send what are called spiders that "crawl" the web, they go from link to link so if people link to your site, the spider will come to your site.
I am in no way responsible for the lack of traffic that comes to your site. I'm building your site, not promoting it. The best way to promote your site is by linking to big sites and having them link you, joining forums in your area of interest and posting there. Signing guestbooks are also a very good way to increase traffic.

Do you do Javascripting or php?
My knowledge is limited. I do use quite a bit of js and php scripts that I have found on the web. Altering them usually is not a big problem but I can't code a script. I use a few sites that offer a lot of free scripts so getting what you need shouldn't be a problem. (My site uses a lot of php and javascript)

I see something that isn't listed on your site!
You want me to do something that's not on my list, just email me and explain to me what you want. There are many things that can be done on a webpage, too many to list. I check my email a few times a day.

How long will it take you to make my site?
It depends on the package you buy, depends on the background you want. When you email me, I'll let you know how long I estimate things to take. I will keep you up to date on my progress.

You finished my page and I'm happy with it but I want you to add something that you offer for free.
Those items are free while I'm making your page. If you want me to add something, change something, then it will cost you the maintenance fee. I will give you an estimate on how long the change should take.

Your site recommends free things that are not working!
I am not responsible for down time of these services. I have used Bravenet, Geocities, Sitemeter for years and have never had problems with them. I am not affiliated with any of the services I recommend. I try to stay away from the free services but if you are going to be hosted by a free site such as geocities, sometimes those services are the only ones that will work due to geocities not supporting php or mysql or cgi.

You did my page but I wanted to maintain it myself and it's a mess now!
If you know html or feel comfortable editing your own pages once I've made them, you may. I will also send you a CD with the final webpage on it. If you upload all those files, you'll get your webpage as it was completed by me. No changes you have made will be saved. The best thing to do while you are working and editing is to keep a backup copy. If you are unsure of what you are doing, save often and view your page to make sure everything is working as it should.
However if you mess it up and lose the CD and need me to clean up the coding, I'll charge you the maintenance fee. An estimate will be emailed to you and then you can choose if you want me to fix the problems.
I will keep a copy of your files in case something happens with your hosting and your page is lost. You can request me to upload the original webpage also at the regular maintenance fee. That version will be the first copy of your page. I will not be saving your page as you make changes.

Can you do a flash intro?
I could but right now I'm not really working on learning how to make flashes. I could learn and if you want one, you'd need to give me a little extra time. Flashes are nice but you only have a few seconds to peek people's interest so it may not be the best solution.

Where do you find the images to make your backgrounds?
Some of them are from artists and I have gotten permission from them to use their art, however I cannot use them when I am being paid to make a website. All other graphics/images I have found on sites that state that I can use them as I wish. I checked all the terms of service before saving images and to the best of my knowledge, the images are free. If however I have used an image of yours and shouldn't have, please email me so that I can remove it from my site.

How does billing work?
I'll make the website and upload it to my webspace so you can look over it and review. Once you like what you see, I will bill you through paypal. Once I get the payment, I'll upload it to your webspace and send you a cdrom for backup if you wish. I will always keep a copy of your site for backup also.
If you pay me to maintain your site, I'll keep an updated version of your site.

I came to your site last week to check pricing and now they've changed!
My prices are subject to change without notice. If you emailed me and have gotten an estimate, that estimate is good for 15 days. If you haven't decided within that time period, you'll have to ask for another quote when you are ready to make that decision.
Just so you know, the prices have not changed in a while. I don't play around with these prices every week.

I'd like some extras you offer, how would I pay you?
Through Paypal I can bill you. Once payment is received, I'll upload it.

Do you use an editor?
No, I use notepad. Sometimes I do use cutehtml but only so I have the lines numbered.

I want to get my own domain name but it looks complicated, can you help?
Most hosting companies do have numbers that you can call and they can set you up via phone. They usually send you an email with a bunch of settings that I need to know about so I can upload your site once I'm done. If you want me to set it up for you, you'd have to choose the company and send me the money needed and then I can set it up for you. I like my host, ipower, if you decide to go with them, please give them my email gookinm@cox.net while you are registering. Whatever host you decide to go with, I am in no way liable for any problems you may have with them.

Things look different depending on the browser you use, why?
All the pages I make I check with Internet Explorer, Netscape and Opera. Your site will be compatible in the 3 most widely used browsers. If there is something that will work in one but not the other, I will let you know. (For example, in IE, you can color the scrollbars but you can't in the other browsers).

Where do I get some webspace?
A lot of places can host your site for free. Some have really bad popups, like AngelFire and Tripod. Others only have ads at the top or in a corner like Geocities or HomewithGod. You are restricted when you use a free service as far as bandwith and what you can actually do with a website. You can ask your ISP to see if they have add free webspace for you.
If you decide to go with a hosting company, make sure that company has been around a few years and that the offer doesn't seem too good to be true. There are so many companies out there, you need to be careful. I would be leery of a company only charging 10$ for an entire year or 100% uptime. No one can guarantee 100% uptime. How do I start the process?

3) Decide what style of page you want, bordered, layered, other...
4) Email me for an estimate so we are sure about the price.
5) Decide where you want your page hosted. Do you want to use a free service? Webspace from your ISP? Buy a domain name?

What kind of counter will I get?
I usually put a counter from Site Meter because you can put the one counter on every page. If you get your own domain, it should provide you with statistics on your page.

I want to sell something on my site, how do I do that?
If you are selling something on your site, I can set up a shopping cart or something to that effect. I will be using the shopping cart from Paypal. I think they are the best known and they are very easy to use.
